Insomnia - don't put up with sleepless nights...
Sleep is as essential to us as food, air and water. To have a phase in your life when your sleep patterns are disturbed and irregular is not uncommon. Many people suffer with insomnia, although problems are more prevalent in women, the ill, the elderly, smokers and alcoholics. Whilst insomnia is not an illness and not life-threatening, it can be distressing, exhausting and depressing.
Insomnia can be split into two types:
(i) Chronic insomnia, which can last from a few weeks to months or even years, and
(ii) the more common transient insomnia, which usually lasts from two or three nights, up to a week, and is normally stress-related.
Insomnia can take one or more of the following forms:
- difficulty falling asleep - more common amongst young people
- sleeping lightly and restlessly, waking often and lying awake in the middle of the night - more common with people over 40, or
- waking early and being unable to get back to sleep - more common in older people, or people who are worried about something in particular
The symptoms of insomnia can include:
- Feeling tired and not refreshed on waking
- Being able to sleep better away from home
- Taking longer than 40 minutes to fall asleep
- Waking repeatedly during the night
- Waking too early and being unable to get back to sleep
- Being unable to sleep without alcohol or sleeping tablets
Insomnia is a condition that is caused by something else, and often by something that you are totally unaware of.
The Elite triple therapy treatment has proven itself to be a very successful method of treatment for insomnia, and in most cases makes the use of sleeping tablets redundant.
Elite regularly welcomes clients from the UK and other parts of Europe who travel to Spain specifically to undertake a dedicated course of treatment. We invite such clients to contact us either by phone or email; we will be happy to phone you back and discuss the various treatment options possible, which can include everything from regular weekend / midweek visits to longer stays of between 5 and 21 days as appropriate.
