Elite Clinics - because you deserve the best...
 Elite was established by Martin & Marion Shirran, who have lived in Spain for several years. Based centrally in Fuengirola, on the Costa del Sol, Elite is located in modern accommodation, adjacent to the famous Plaza de la Constitucion, the main Church Square. We offer a high quality service to both English-speaking residents and visitors alike. The clinic is just a short drive from Malaga international airport, within easy reach of all the main coastal towns in the Costa del Sol region of Spain.
At Elite we are dedicated to constantly improving our knowledge and expertise, and are therefore committed to both ongoing training and adopting the latest developments in therapy techniques. Martin & Marion have both had a strong interest in Psychology for a number of years. During 2005 Martin undertook additional training and gained a primary certificate in R.E.B.T. (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) at the School of Psychology at Birmingham University, and he is also a member of the UK Society for Behavioural Medicine. We both hold Diplomas in Clinical Hypnosis, and are certified and registered with the American Board and British Institute of Hypnotherapy.
Marion comes from a medically trained family - her mother was a nurse, her brother a doctor and her sister is a midwife. After gaining a BA (Hons) degree from Lancaster University, Marion spent a few years teaching. Martin has spent many years in training and management, and in addition to working in the UK, he has undertaken projects in the USA (Los Angeles) and India (Bangalore).
Also at the clinic is Susan Gunner. Sue has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Goldsmith College at the University of London. Sue also studied CBT at Birbeck University, prior to moving to Spain.
Our aim is to help people change their lives for the better, whether they are coming to see us for basic counselling and guidance to solve relationship problems, or to stop smoking, lose weight, overcome panic attacks, insomnia, or a specific addiction, fear or phobia. Visitors are always welcome: the atmosphere is relaxed, friendly and comfortable, but always professional.
We strive to always exceed our clients' expectations, taking great care to ensure our clients are happy and satisfied with the treatment they receive. Strict client-therapist confidentiality is adhered to at all times, and both a male and female therapist are always available at the clinic during working hours.
Since opening we have helped clients with a whole range of problems and we are proud that our reputation for success has spread to the extent that clients have travelled to the clinic from different parts of the world specifically for treatment.
At Elite we offer a completely free, no-obligation, initial consultation to all new clients, so if you want to find out how Elite can help you change your life, then all you need to do is ring and book a short, informal appointment. We can normally accept appointment requests between 8 a.m. right through until 9 p.m. Secure parking is available directly underneath the main square, just a few metres walk from the clinic.
Elite regularly welcomes clients from the UK and other parts of Europe who travel to Spain specifically to undertake a dedicated course of treatment. We invite such clients to contact us either by phone or email; we will be happy to phone you back and discuss the various treatment options possible, which can include everything from regular weekend / midweek visits to longer stays of between 5 and 21 days as appropriate.
